Countries

In the Countries section, you can add additional languages to the language selection dropdown in the frontend (top right toolbar).

This feature only extends the dropdown list in the frontend – it does not include finished translations for new languages.

Adding a new language

By default, PLCVisu comes with four fully translated languages:

  • English (US)
  • German (DE)
  • Turkish (TR)
  • Chinese (CN)

If you add a language like Czech, it will appear in the selection – but no translations are available yet.

How to add your own translations

You can download an existing [code_block_0] language file (e.g. English), translate its contents, and upload it again.

  1. Add a language (e.g. “Czech”)
  2. Go to Settings > Languages > Countries
  3. On the right side of the intended language row, you’ll see two icons: Download and Upload
  4. Hover over each icon to see a tooltip explaining its function
  5. Edit the downloaded JSON and re-upload it using the corresponding button

This allows you not only to add new languages, but also to customize existing ones – e.g., change terms you don’t like in the English version.

Note

The Countries section only makes languages visible in the dropdown.
To enable actual translation in the system, you must provide a corresponding language file.
