Pages
Button: Internal Link
Description
The Internal Link Button is a navigation control that allows you to link this button to any internal page or UI component inside your project.
This makes it ideal for:
- Navigating between screens
- Accessing alarms or log views
- Building in-app navigation menus
Navigation Options
Under the "Navigation" section, you can link the button to one of two types:
1. Pages
- Choose this to link to a custom page created or uploaded in your project
- Only pages that exist in your workspace will be shown
- Clicking the button switches the view to that page
Best for:
- Going from a main dashboard to subpages
- Help or detail pages
2. Components
Instead of a page, you can link to a system-level component, such as:
- Alarms – current active alarms
- Alarms History – all logged past alarms
- Alarms Overview – system-wide alarm dashboard
- Logger – access to logging interface
Best for:
- Quickly jumping into predefined runtime components
- Creating tool-like buttons ("Show Alarms", "View Logs")
Additional Properties
You can further customize the button by setting:
- Label – The text shown on the button
- Image Location – Optional icon or graphic for visual context
- Position and Size – % based layout for responsive placement
Summary
The Internal Link Button is the primary navigation control inside your project.
It can connect either to user-defined pages or to built-in components like alarms or logs.
No variable or connection string is required – it's purely navigational.
