Behavior
- Uses the first selected object as the starting point; its vertical position does not change.
- Calculates the total vertical space covered by the selected objects.
- Evenly redistributes the remaining objects from top to bottom, following the order in which they were selected.
- Preserves each object’s height (only the Y-position changes).
Practical Tip
For predictable results:
- Select the object that should stay where it is first (your anchor).
- Then select the others in the order you want them stacked.
- Click Distribute Vertically.
Use Cases
- Aligning form fields or labels in a neat vertical column.
- Spacing tiles, panels, or rows consistently.
- Quickly fixing uneven gaps in vertical layouts.
