Behavior
- Uses the first selected object as the starting point; its horizontal position does not change.
- Calculates the total horizontal space available between the selected objects.
- Evenly redistributes the remaining objects from left to right, following the order in which they were selected.
- Preserves each object’s width (only the X-position changes).
Practical Tip
For predictable results:
- Click the object that should stay in place first (your anchor).
- Then select the other objects in the order you want them arranged.
- Click Distribute Horizontally.
Use Cases
- Creating evenly spaced buttons in a toolbar.
- Lining up cards, tiles, or icons across a row.
- Cleaning up “almost aligned” layouts without manually nudging each object.
